STEVEDEV DIGITAL SERVICES (RC 9284055), registered in Nigeria, operates WA Platform (the "Platform"). This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what control you have over it.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — email address, display name, and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text).
- WhatsApp connection data — the phone numbers you connect, their connection status, and the metadata needed to keep a session active (session keys are stored, never your WhatsApp password, since WhatsApp does not use one for this method).
- Content you choose to send or store — messages, contacts, group data, media, and automation rules you create on the Platform, only for as long as needed to provide the service to you.
- Usage and security logs — login times, IP address, device information, and admin action logs, kept for account security and to meet our regulatory obligations.

2. How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Platform and your connected WhatsApp sessions;
- Authenticate you and protect your account, including detecting suspicious activity;
- Respond to support requests and send service-related notices;
- Comply with applicable Nigerian law and respond to lawful requests from authorities; and
- Improve reliability and performance of the Platform.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not read the content of your messages except where required to provide a feature you have explicitly enabled (for example, an automation rule that acts on incoming message text) or where required to investigate abuse or a security incident.
3. How we share information
We share information only with: infrastructure providers who host our database and servers under contractual confidentiality obligations; email and notification providers used solely to deliver account-related messages; and government or regulatory bodies where we are legally required to disclose information. We do not share your data with advertisers, and the Platform does not run third-party ad networks.
4. Data retention
We retain account and connection data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, security, or accounting reasons.
5. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may export your data, by contacting us at info@stevedevdigital.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe consistent with applicable law, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act.
6. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted connections, hashed passwords, optional two-factor authentication and passkeys, and access logging. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children
The Platform is intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above, and where appropriate, by notice on the Platform.
